CQ CQ CQ de W1HLO
Welcome to the home of Norwich Free Academy's ham radio club, W1HLO. We are a high school amateur radio club that first went on the air in 1944.
Our Mission: The Norwich Free Academy Amateur Radio and Engineering Club aims to teach science, technology, engineering, and math through amateur radio activities and projects. Amateur radio is our art of scientific expression and inquiry for the mind.
We have contacted the International Space Station with packet radio, launched high-altitude balloons and tracked them with APRS, developed robots with Arduinos and Raspberry Pis, designed and 3D-printed parts for our projects, and participated in the ARRL's School Club Roundup.
You can check out videos of our projects on our YouTube Channel.
Our repeater is accessible on 441.950MHz out and 446.950MHz in with a PL of 156.7 Hz.
We receive support from our local ham radio club, SECARS.
